"Manuel Oltra shows the wisdom of a storyteller. The Maestro often tells us about the golden ratio that the Greeks respected in the Parthenon, that which Leonardo found in the human body starting from the navel, which would indicate a point of maximum tension, of inflection in the whole, and which would be located in the 2/3rd parts of the discourse. You Will be able to localise this point in most pieces of this CD, in the short or longer ones. You will understand that, in fact, it is not an arithmetic mather, that the artist does not takes balance as a discipline, but that he finds it following the dictates of his intuition.
That if the golden proportion is present in nature, in the drawing of a flower or in the spiral of a winkle, it is also present in the nature of the creative person himself.
We must congratulate Columna Música and the performers chosen for this recording, Montserrat Torruella, Sira Hernández and Manuel Martínez del Fresno for the possibility they offer to verifying, as Maestro Oltra says, that "art does not lie in the idea, but in the realization of the idea".
